I know someone who’s going to be wooed by this one. Is the painting by your MIL?

1. Woo!

2. Yes, it is by my MIL, the superb painter Carol Barenberg: http://www.barenberg.com

Wonderfully poetic illustration of the old adage, "women are from Venus, men from Mars."

Thank you Ken, I am no longer scratching my head.

Harf! You're welcome, Roy.

This genuinely made me smile. In a good, earnest way.

That's good news, WiT!

The sonnets are so inspiring. I write lyrical poetry, l free verse only, finding any other format incredibly challenging. But I think I have just penned the first draft of a very basic sonnet— 10 syllables, 14 lines ,and that’s it. 😅 The sun’s out and that has helped me a bit as well. Must hang the wash now!

Very happy to be a source of inspiration, Luciana. And pleased to hear you can hang the wash outside right now--it's freezing here in Boston.

According to the weather forecast it might last for an hour or so! Every silver lining Ken!

This is brilliant, brilliant, and moving. I could do without the Bloom epigraph, tbh. It spoils what comes after. The sonnet is excellent and better on its own.

Not married to it.
