A Poem by A. V. Marraccini
I've been translating Petrarch all day. This sonnet feels like a personal treat for my efforts.
absolutely love it.
remember: the critic never pays for his own ticket.
Ironically I usually do! I absolutely did at NYCB lol.
me too, in the early days.
nowadays, reviewing books I have to play nice. so, if I don't like the book, I praise the jacket or the spine, the production values and might mention the actual text at the end.
"Nice spine!"
Amen, A.V.!
