Another April
A Poem by Ken Gordon
for Paul Muldoon When’s National Foot Health Awareness Month? April. It’s April, you month-minded fool. I am surprised at you, young man. I am. You spend thirty days counting shoeless feet: You’re nearly a Quentin Tarantino, focusing all your April attention on this foot and that. And that. I can see no reason to continue the charade that this cruelly marketed month exists to honor poems and poets. You ought to write of our noble podiatrists fighting off bunions, hammertoes, foot rot. Nice, I suppose, to have a month for verse; twelve would be poetic justice. None? Perverse.

Love it!
Made me smile. Thank you!
